Hope Show enjoyed a record number of heavy horse entrants this year,  with more Shires, Clydesdales and other heavy horse breeds than in previous years.  There were six entries in the turnout classes, with four in the farmers turnout and two in the  tradesmans turnout, creating a superb spectacle in the main ring. Other classes such as the coloured horses and ponies and the mountain and moorland ponies also had a good number of entries, not deterred by the rain these competitors put on a great show for the spectators.  With a colourful fancy dress and fun gymkhana games this was a horsey day with something for everyone.
