This year
the teas, coffees and home made cakes tent at Hope Show is being run by the Friends
of Hope Primary School. Situated not
far from the main ring, it is an ideal place to stop off and watch the world go
by on Show day.
The
kitchens of Hope will provide tempting homemade cakes, tray bakes and muffins…
Friends of Hope School (FOHS) exists to support the school, its
staff, its pupils and its families.
Through its social network the Friends hope to ease the passage of new
pupils and their parents into the school community.
Through
fund raising, practical assistance and social activities the Friends hope to
enhance the wellbeing of the school.
This enhancement aims to bring about the best possible environment for
the children’s education with the resources available.
They are
involved in fundraising activities generating funds for school trips or a new
piece of equipment. They run social
activities for the children and parents, providing opportunities for parents to
meet and socialise and helping to develop a good family atmosphere at the
school. A willing source of manpower too,
they also provide practical help for the school in involvement with decorating,
repairs and maintenance projects.
So look out
for the refreshment tent on the Showground on August Bank Holiday Monday.
